I thought I'd ask, if you had to go pike fishing and take only 1 lure with you, what would it be?

Personally, I'm a sucker for tradition and can't go pike fishing without my 1 oz daredevil. I can zing that thing a mile. Granted it wobbles so hard it almost pops my shoulders out, but it sure does work for pike!

So what's you're favorite? I'd like to build up my pike lure collection.

I also, personally, rarely fish with a steel leader for pike. Have never lost a fish through biting through the line. Am I just that lucky? Or that good Rolling Eyes

Definately a white Rapala Husky Jerk. Shallow diver with a STEEL LEADER!

Both the Pike and myself were surprised; I was fishing lake zoar and using a white buzzbait in the weeds. Sort of ashamed to say it but had to coax my friend to get the hook out of his mouth (damn what teeth) and this one was only about 4lbs. I think I'll stick to fish you can lip to get the hook out and leave these toothy critters to you guys. cmorjoe
