Where are some other good spots with like a 30 minute ride, been to saltonstall a lot, I want to try some other places

Try using Bing maps. Toggle between road and birdseye and use the wheel on your mouse to zoom in. If your mouse doesn't have a wheel, use the +/- in the upper right hand of the page. Some places are legal, some are not. You let us know which was which. http://www.bing.com/maps/?FORM=Z9LH2

I've been trying to figure this out myself. I'm in Hamden and its been tough (especially since I don't own a boat). Everyone has been saying the RWA pass for Lake Saltonstall is the way to go.
