Decided to head down to Seaside just to have some fun with the sea robins and hopefully get into a few blues and fluke. Got there just before 3pm and high tide for Bridgeport was scheduled for 3:03pm.
3 areas I worked were the cannon, point, and rocky stretch. 3 lures I played with included a shiner Shallow Shad Rao SSR-9, spotted minow Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, and olive green Clackin Minnow CNM-9.
All that happened was 1 sea robin on the CNM-9 which hit the tail on the pause just like that evening at Penfield Reef.
Chunkers at the cannon were hardly into anything except for 1 guy with 3 sea robins. Chunkers at the point only got 1 hit which was a sea robin.
Later I went to the back of Bushwick Metal on the Pequonnock and saw breaks out there. I was trying for the bigger snappers but none were hitting a F-7. Noticed the breaks I was seeing were schools of adult bunker. I didn't get any hits on a number of plugs and topwaters and guys snagging the bunker weren't getting any runs or tails chopped off.
Headed over to grab a bite to eat at Duchess before hitting the upper area of the Pequonnock.
