Salmon Brook 8/12
Message:
This morning I went back to Salmon Brook in Granby. It was warm and sunny to start, the water was low and clear. I started near the bridge off canal street. Very quiet area and seems like the trout are gone for the time being. I caught a small Fallfish early about 4-6 inches. Then I made my way under the bridge. The water was about waist deep . I cast to the other side and hit a large 10-12in Fallfish which was very strong, I had thought trout at first but I think it was impressive for a Fallfish. After that I received some bites but couldn't seem to hook anything else. I went to the bridge on Hungary road. Some clouds rolled in blocking the sun cooling things down momentarily. Unfortunately, this area was empty. I had one bite but that was it. Maybe the impending cooler weather will bring more success
