Pequonnock River Bpt 8/21

After Twin Brooks Park and stopping for a bite to eat and something to drink at Duchess, I went to the Wonderland of Ice starting around 6pm and spent about a half hour there.
Hit my usual 2 spots and concentrated with the glass minnow HJ-6 mostly.
Did catch a redbreast in 1 spot and in another spot I hit a small crappie and dinky largemouth. Saw a number of redbreasts and small bass in both areas and also 2 nicer bass in the area I caught the redbreast. Tried playing with a 7" natural Creme Worm by letting it drift down and had what looked like one of the bass try and grab it.
Later I went over to Glenwood Park and stayed til about 8:15pm.
One fish I was into this time was crappie. I stuck with that special retrieve I've had going with the panfish at Beardsley Park. Caught a total of 6 crappie up to 7" and 2 rock bass with one being a 9" 10 ounce Big Red Eye. Also caught a total of 5 stripers up to 13" and 1 redbreast. No whites this time.
This evening was the best crappie bite I've had since mid June when I was hitting them at the same spot.
One fish I was very surprised to see that far up was what I'm pretty sure was adult bunker! I saw a total of 3 and they were swimming fast just under the surface as if they were searching for a way out. I've never seen bunker up in the freshwater tidal area!
