CTR Kings Island

Went for a quick trip on the CTR from the Kings Island Boat Launch in my kayak on Sunday. Went for an hour and a half and was on the water at about 6:30 PM. Started by trolling a SSR perch, as I headed towards the Suffield and before I could leave the boat launch caught a smallie in the shallows. Continued to troll towards Suffield and had a big hit but before I could reach around and set the hook it was gone. Oh well. On the Suffield sided I threw the perch a little with no success so I switched to the Yum Dinger watermelon candy color. Caught another five in about an hour and a half and missed two. Some were in shallow and others were at the edge of the channel and the shallow water. All fish were between 9 and 13 so they were small, but fought like some of the bigger ones I had caught there. The river was low, but not as low as it had been and was moving a little faster then expected for how low it was, which is why I believe the fish were active. No pictures due to the fact I was limited on time as I had lobsters at home to eat, but it was a good trip.
