Fisher Meadows, Avon area ?

Anyone been there? Any input? I stopped last week on the way home from work (first time). Started the very south end in the shade, 6pm ish. First cast was a black 5" Yamasenko, landed a 1lb 5oz LMB. Fished that area for a half a dozen more casts but yielded no bites even, assumed it just luck or surprise. We covered a good 300 yards of the east shore (now in the sun) and then doubled back to the west shore (for the shade) and fished a good 3/4 of it. Tried all different senkos and top waters, pulled out a handful of half pounders between the two of us but nothing to talk about. The season change is throwing me off, where are the fish in here . . . The water is low, so the shore is very friendly, but it also seemed like a very visited place.
