Stillwater pond 9/16

Got a call friday From Mep21 (Mark) for heading out this weekend, first thoughts was for heading back to the river for the pike bite but after checking weather and dicussing the boat trafic issues Stillwater in Torrington became the target. We hooked up at 4:30 after loading up and a little look to the skys we headed out, a manditory stop at D&D for coffee we rolled onto the ramp just as the skys started to pink up. Weather looked good air temps where brisk 55+deg. with a lite breeze fog swirled around in big collums and thanks to Peco for the loan my handy dandy fish finder told me water temp where 68 deg. We rolled around the pond pitching and casting at everything. The weather man was spot on as usual the light 5-7 mph predicted winds turn out to be 10-15+ with gust so strong the 10lb anchor couldnt even hold us. The cooler temp and strong winds made fishing tough but we managed a few here and there.
