Someone from the RI dep (i believe it was dep) told us that we could fish in RI with our CT fresh/saltwater license We were fishing the ocean btw Does anyone know if thats true for RI or any other surrounding state. I suggest renewing ur NY license I am sure they are hard on people who dont have them and even worse to out of towners without one!!!

If you paid for a CT saltwater license it is reciprocal in several other states. I found out that Maine is another state that follows that rule. It does not give permission to fish freshwater however.
