milford/new haven wednesday evening, any recommendations?
Message:
I'm not from around here and I've just gotten into fishing the beginning of this year. trouble is, I'm in school, have little time and money. I have this Wednesday night free and a buddy and I are planning on going out to the milford/new haven area. however, I don't really know where to go/park. nor do we know what we're going for (catching [i:54613c3b81]anything[/i:54613c3b81] would be grounds for success!). we're pretty much newbies and any advice would be appreciated in terms of location, bait/lures, gear, and importantly, etiquette out on piers and such. I've been down to milford's silver sands with my girlfriend over the summer and saw a large pier that I've heard about? also we'll be going out around 6pm (high tide is around 7 i think, sunset around 615?). I'd like to stay out until 11 or so, but I'm not sure if that'll work seeing that the tide will be going out. thanks guys!

High tide will be around 7:40 on Wednesday. Gulf beach Pier is a decent place and theres plenty of parking there right next to the pier. You really should have a permit if you plan on fishing past dark but they dont usually bust chops there.
