quick shot in the wethersfield cove

I went to the wethersfield cove on friday around 10PM to get away from my annoying sister in law who was staying with us for the weekend. The cove closes at sunset so I new it was only a matter of time before I got kicked out.
I went to my usual spot by the fire dept boat dock. The water was like glass. I notice that a lot of bait fish were jumping out of the water in random spots so I through out a popper. I made about 10 cast and then BAM, I hook into something big. The fish was ripping my drag, I had to tighten it. He did a couple jumps and then I landed it. It was a striped bass about 28" long. I was psyched.
I made a couple of more cast and then the cops showed up and told me to leave.
