Slow at Seaside 11/15
Message:
High tide for Bridgeport was scheduled for 11:43am so I hit the Fayerweather Island jetty starting around 10am. Winds were a steady 10mph N and NE wind with occasional gusts around 15mph. It was cooler out today than Wednesday. This time the water was choppier than Wednesday so I didn't stay on the jetty for too long. Winds eventually became a brisk SE wind while standing at the cannon.
Casted a few times with the Clackin Rap and Flat Rap on both sides of the jetty but I had a feeling the stripers weren't there because of the choppiness.
Later I headed over to the cannon at the peak of high tide. First cast out with the original pearl shad Flat Rap FLR-10 and I catch a 13 1/2" 15 ounce schoolie. After that, not even a follower or hit. Tried throwing other many other lures out there but nothing. Took occasional 5 to 10 minute breaks to let the tide go out more but never got into anything else.
Hit the road around 1:15pm.
A combination of the winds, cooler air temps, and choppiness I feel were the suspects.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but maybe you should try something besides freshwater lures.

I know you like your rapalas but when they dont produce you need at least a Hopkins or something similar to try. Maybe even a teaser.
