Blackfish on Black Friday

Went out and launched into Niatic early morning when the sun came up. Fishing all day was VERY slow using green crabs no blackfish jigs. The only bright spot of the day was that it was beautiful out for late November. Myself and 3 buddies caught a bunch of shorts and a monkfish (first time i've caught one of those - that thing is an odd looking fish), but did not boat any keepers ALL day :shock: Not sure if hurricane Sandy sent them all away into extremely deep water or what, but we talked to the majority of the boats that were out in the water that day in our area and everyone was having a tough day.
