Falls Village Power Plant 9-5-07
Message:
Got an hour to fish down at the power plant outlet of the Hous yesterday, no pictures, but there really wasn't too much to report.
Caught 3 small Smallmouths and Two little Largemouth, which I thought was kinda interesting, didn't know they were hangin out there. I woulda taken a picture but I was kind of embarassed catching and photographing a 6" fish.
The Yum Worms in 4" length have been producing smallies pretty well up and down the river even in this heat, also have landed a few rock bass, etc. on them. Again, nothing huge, but it's better than getting skunked, especially with how low the water is right now.
Heard from a friend who used to kayak on the river that a group of anglers won an injunction against the power plant, so they no longer use it and there will be no more water released from it. Any flow downstream now will come from cresting the dam and going down the old river channel, which is great as far as I'm concerned. One less place that's screwing with water levels on the hous!
