For northern pike, I'd head up to Lake Champlain in the fall, probably in September. Call Captain Mickey Maynard. He's the best. He has a nice cottage where you can stay, too. Here's a link to his website: http://lakechamplainangler.com/ Here are a couple of northern pike and a couple of northern pike/chain pickerel hybrids that we caught on our first charter with him (that's him in the photos with my daughter): [img:fc4cc5e08e]http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/9128/vtfromplattsburghny036c.jpg[/img:fc4cc5e08e] [img:fc4cc5e08e]http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/3438/vtfromplattsburghny032c.jpg[/img:fc4cc5e08e] [img:fc4cc5e08e]http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/4450/vtfromplattsburghny021c.jpg[/img:fc4cc5e08e] [img:fc4cc5e08e]http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/4205/vtfromplattsburghny070c.jpg[/img:fc4cc5e08e]

Phil, How aggressive were those pike/pickerel hybrids vs an average chain pickerel and northern pike?
