The threat of early morning thunderstorms made us cancel plans to fish Block Island, so we decided to bottom fish locally. Spend the first couple of hours fluke fishing around the hooter buoy due south of the center wall. wound up with six keepers and No Throwbacks! Then we fished down by Charlestown for sea bass. wound up with a dozen fish to around four pounds. we also had a bunch of 3 pound scup. Actually it was a pretty slow day and we wound up calling it quits a litle early.
