I'm looking to purchase a Gas/Propane ice auger. Which one is the best? Most durable?

I had tons of problems with Eskimo - everything is plastic, so the ethanol kills it. With that said, I'll sell you mine - cheap!! I use a Strikemaster. Otherwise, go with Jiffy for propane or Strikemaster for gas. That Ion electric looks pretty cool, but have never used it. Nils makes a power head, but don't know about the engine. As far as augers(cutting) go, Nils is the best.

I talked with a guy out on Coventry Lake yesterday. He has a Strikemaster Battery operated 8". He says he can drill about 40 holes when the ice is about 6 or 7 inches thick. He said he loves it. He payed around $430.00. Takes about 6 to 12 hours to fully charge. I have the Eskimo Shark 10". Its all Cabela's had at that time I needed 1. I wouldnt buy another. It runs and starts good, but when the gas/oil gets old....Trouble... also no carb. adjustment, factory set. Just my opinion.
