Quicky at Ice Out Pond 2/28
Message:
Decided to do some scouting again after over an inch of rain fell with the recent system.
First stop was my usual ice out pond around 2pm. Saw the 2 coves I enjoy fishing were iced out but the main pond still had thin ice.
Had enough room to throw a few lures. Tried a glass minnow Husky Jerk HJ-6, hot mustard muddler X-Rap XR-4, and a small 2" soft plastic worm.
Didn't get anything to hit but did see fish take off from the shore when I approached both coves.
Later went down to the funeral home and was surprised to not see much of a difference in ice there.
Headed over to Unity Park and found the shallow marshy pond still had some ice over the deeper areas.
Hit the road around 5pm.
