was planning to head up to wintergreen for abit with a friend of mine, but he suggested we go to fish and game in hamden. i am not a member and never could go but was able to go as a guest with him so i said why not. saw alot of fish; some good size and alot of babies. after trying a few minutes in one area right when we got there i moved to what looked to be a more promising area. well once i got to the spot i saw i looked back to see my friend catch a second fish. he started with a blue gill no bigger than a few inches and then pulls out a 4lb largemouth. the sadest part in my eyes is here i am casting these great bass baits that never seem to fail and he catches this guy on a night crawler. after 3hrs or so at this place the count was: me: 3 bass him: 1 blue gill, 1 rainbow trout, and 4 bass. i guess live bait won this time.

djmon, Live bait is hard to beat at times, but you still didn't get skunked..!

djmon, your buddy catching a 4 pounder on a worm was probably the key pattern you should have picked up on if you threw all the other bass baits. Sometimes bass don't want anything else but a worm or maybe a senko.
