My ice out tips and tactics post yours!

Ok so when people think of ice out bass fishing the biggest misconception is to use small baits and fish really slow and deep.... well those people are right and wrong.I do find that flipping jigs in 1/4 ounce in natural colors work really well but in my opinion for that jig i put on a bulky trailer like a 4 inch green pumpkin blue chigger craw and i varie my retrieves for the jig. Another bait i really like is a jerkbait like a husky jerk 8 or a husky jerk 10 i find that this works really well during ice out i like a 3-5 jerk and pause for 10 seconds and repeat i feel like that works really well. Another bait is a wacky rig senko this will work but in my opinion it will take time to get fish on it since it doesn't cover that much water. But my top to are a squarebill crank like a kvd 1.0 in bluegill or a booyah spinnerbait in 3/8 ounce in a golden shiner color and i vary retrieves. Finally i locate these fish in 2-7 feet of water on points and weed edges. What are you approaches towards ice out fishing?

I love shaky head worms this early. Slowly dragging and stopping seems to drive em nuts.

Ice out is probably the hardest time for me but when I do have a good day early in the season its always with a gold and black top rapala husky jerk. I bought a bunch of grubs and bucktail jigs to try this year.
