Gurley Cemetery Pond UConn
Message:
So tried out a new place near UConn today. It has no name but its right next to the Gurley Cemetery, google map it if youd like. Anyways fished it from 214-4 using Jerkbaits, crankbaits and jigs. Its a really odd pond because it just looks like a giant pool in a river and a river flows into it and there is a tiny little dam so Im not really sure if theres actually any bass in it but it could hold some big trout from the looks of it. Anyways I was using a little two inch strike king lil mister money bleeding crankbait in white/Olive top bouncing it off the bottom and hooked into a huge sucker, the thing was 3 feet from shore and I thought it was a nice trout until it got closer. I brought it onto shore before it spit the hook and bounced back in. After about another 45 minutes I had a little pickeral chasing the same crankbait but swam off when he saw me. 50% of the pond was still ice so hopefully when it thaws the action will pick up. Anybody knows if there are any bass in there?
