Salmon Cove n power plant canal Haddam 3/23&24

Hit the hole in the pp canal with bait targeting bowfin to no avail. We caught two huge bluegill and a bullhead. I did however see a couple bowfin coming up for air while we were there, so I was at least assured they are in! This was Saturday, it was cold and windy. Sunday my father went back down there and fished the cove instead he landed a pike on my ultralight with 4 lbs flouro haha. [img:27652e8b02]http://i.imgur.com/Sfg7xWy.jpg[/img:27652e8b02]

We did see a couple of northern pike and heard about one or two more. Hey, jimbojonez, the fish in the photo you posted is a chain pickerel, not a pike.

I was out once heading towards cromwell cove fishing senko's on lite 8 lb fluoro when a pike hit it. Got it to the boat, ~28 inches. Couldn't believe it didn't break the line.
