CT river 4/3/13

Today was extremely windy. Gusts up to 24 mph in the Windsor locks area. The current was also extremely fast. Not sure what weight would be needed to keep your bait down but I certainly didn't have it.
PECo,
I have found the spot you mentioned. Right off North Water Street, empty lot with clear path down to the river

If you can throw a big football head jig against the upriver side of a piling and let it drift downriver on the bottom with the current without snagging up, you might get smallies.
