Boy was that wind bone chilling this morning. My hand are so chapped. One of my employees quit so i had to work 3rd shift last night. decided going to sleep was not an option, im going fishing.Anyway got out to Eagleville around 10am. I walked down the train tracks to the second clearing. I tried the senko and shad rap bluegill for about 20 mins or so with different retrieves. Nothing. So I continued to walk down the train tracks and found another clearing along the slightly steep rock wall-like structure. It appeared more clear and less vegetation in this spot. I literally through my shad rap bluegill once with a steady retrieve and felt a hit but it wasn't really strong so I took a second to watch my pole after I jerked it up. Sure enough it was bobbin' so I started reeling in which was pretty tough. Maybe it was snagged on some weeds but sure enough it was a 14" brown trout. I was really surprised it went after that lure. He was full of energy and my numb dead fingers struggled to get the hooks out which seemed like they were embedded in its mouth. I manage to free him and he swam away with vigor. That was all the action I got today but it was worth it.
