Lake Zoar. 4-20
Message:
Went to Zoar today, water was 50 degrees, a buddy cought a 2 lb smallie right off the dock at the launch, then I cought a 21" trout about 100yrds south of the boat launch. Was super windy, only have a Jon boat with a trolling motor and had to row to make it back to the launch, battery was dieing tring to fight the wind.

It's tough fishing when it's windy like that. I have not fished Zoar in about 40 years. Used to go with my dad in a small boat and troll a shiner. We used to catch some nice bass in those days. With the PCB's there I just go to Candlewood now.

There are some decent sized smallies hanging around the launch area there. Fish it while you still can before traffic gets to be too much and the weeds grow in.
