Burr pond

Going to be moving up to torrington soon, looks like burr pond is going to be the closest and best bet for fishing. Any inside info of what lures, colors, or locations work best for bass would be greatly appreciated, never before fished burr pond.

Winchester lake, Highland lake, Dog pond, West hill pond, Tyler lake, Colebrook Res., lower west branch reservoire, bantam lake, all within a 20 min ride from torrington, and the housatonic and Farmington if you like to fish in the river. We are right in the middle of some good fishing. Launch is a little shallow at Burr, and the weeds can get thick mid summer, but have had luck with shallow cranks, swimming soft plastics, frogs when the pads are up, and senkos. If you plan on swimming soft plastics be prepared to loose some to the hungry pikerel, I have some one legged ribbitz left over from last year lol.
