After getting home from fishing with mikeyinstfd, I headed down to Beardsley Park. First spot was the Trumbull Rd bridge around 4:30pm. 2 Rapalas I stuck with were glass minnow Husky Jerk HJ-6 and hot mustard muddler X-Rap XR-4. Had a few swipes and trout looking at the HJ-6 but never set the hook. Tried throwing yellow corn Berkley Garlic Scented Power Bait out there but never had any takers. Later I headed down to the ballfields but I could tell 95% of the stocked trout were gone. Hit a few areas of Bunnells Pond. Lures I threw there were silver shad Jointed Shad Rap JSR-4, shad Tail Dancer TD-7, and original bleeding shad Shad Rap SR-5. Caught an 11" rainbow at 1 spot with the JSR-4. Throughout the evening winds had picked up and it got colder and raw out so I hit the road just before 7pm.
