Beat the Skunk

After getting plenty of sleep overnight and still having enough time in the afternoon to do some fishing, I decided to head over to Beardsley Park to see if the state had done any second stocking yet. Somebody told me the state was gonna do it soon. Got to the Pequonnock around 5pm and stuck with the glass minnow Husky Jerk HJ-6.
Got a total of 4 hits and set the hook landing a 10" brookie.
Fished a few other areas of the Pequonnock at Beardsley Park with no more luck.
Hit usual areas of Bunnells Pond with the silver shad Jointed Shad Rap JSR-4 and caught a small rock bass. Tried throwing the HJ-6 underneath the bridge and had a few sunnies and crappie slowly follow. Landed a small bluegill.
Hit the road around 7:30pm.
