Lake Housatonic Skunk

Pre fished the upper Housy today. Now this is a Bass/Walleye Management Lake. On the water at 8:30am. Fished both sides of the river from the dam to Indian Head Rock and a little into the rapids including Pink House Cove. Not one bite. Threw Jerk Baits, Crank Baits, Cabin Creek Spider Jigs, Spook, Drop Shot and Spinner Baits. Fished every bit of structure I could find. Saw alewives schooling in downed trees and around docks. Spotted some fish on the fish finder but nothing was biting. I saw one dead sunny floating but that was it. Does any one have any suggestions? I think the river died. The highlight of my day, with my frustrations growing I hit the gas pedal "Hot Foot" and quickly realized I Forgot To Lift The Trolling Motor. Dah! Total Drenching. Fortunately it was sunny and windy and I dried off quick. Absolutely amazing how much water comes over the bow!
