Spawning bass
Message:
I have a quick question. If a bass is hooked on a bed and you lose the fish after fighting it for a little bit will it go back to its bed or swim off? I hooked what I think was the largest bass I would have caught to date and I dont know if it was spawning but I did have it take the bait the spit it after a short fight then hook it again in the same spot and its spit it at the boat.

If it's a female it will go back, i'm not sure if they will be on the same bed a few days later but definitely that day. Also, if you hook a bass on a bed but it shakes the hook, just wait a few seconds and it will go back to the bed and most times bite again. I had a bass that i hooked 3 times before finally landing it on the 4th hook up off a bed last year
