Darters?
Message:
Recently while fishing the Pequonnock River at Beardsley Park I've seen some small fish hanging around sandy and muddy areas closer to the shoreline and near where a deeper pool meets shallow rocky rapids. No bigger than 2 inches and they take off pretty fast when they get spooked. I looked in my Peterson's Field Guide and looked to me like darters. Do we get darters hanging around shallower areas of rivers and streams where it's sandy or muddy?
