Low tide for Bridgeport was scheduled for 2:45pm and got down to the sandbar with my waders just after 12:30pm. Setup was a 7'6" M Okuma SST Salmon Spin Penn Sargus 4000. Winds were a steady 10mph south and southeast. Lures I played with throughout the afternoon were purpledescent Clacking Minnow CNM-9, pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-10, blue sardine Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, and flake ayu Max Rap MXR-13. Also tried playing topwater with a chrome Skitter Pop SP-9. Nothing was going on while the tide was going out. Had 2 hits. Later around 2pm I decided to head Downtown to grab a bite to eat before heading back over to the sandbar just before dead low. That's when things started picking up. Had a number of hits and landed a total of 3 stripers all around 16". 2 came on the MXR-13 and the other on the SXR-10. Lost a nice fish with the SXR-10. As the tide got higher things slowed down and only had 2 or 3 more hits. Hit the road around 4:30pm
