lilli sunday afternoon
Message:
hit lilli this afternoon - was OF COURSE windy but the coves were ok and had some great drifts on both sides starting at the dam! - used jerk baits - tubes and senkos - caught a ton of rats - and a couple 3 to 4 lbs largies and a big pike (they seem to be everywhere this spring) saw some big girls on beds but with the wind just to hard to fish them! THE WATER is the highest i have ever seen it! all in all a good afternoon lots of fish and a couple of pretty nice ones! - had to leave early but it is getting to be top water time on lilli! with all the fishing i do there you would have thought i would have it down! BUT ever changing water levels make for some hard times! and a test of skills --- EXCEPT TOP WATER! by far the evening bite is the best on lilli!

That's what I like about Lilly. Always challenging your skills. Now ya got me thinking Bone Spook One Knocker. I'm gonna head there tomorrow. The water levels are high because the lowered the level of Zoar so the residents could do their dock work. I was on the Housy fishing a tourney on Sunday when they opened the dams. Indian Head Rock was a bitch to stay still. A 101PT Motor had us working.

YUUP many would say lilli is the worst - i agree with you - YES its tough but a gem of a body of water and if you put in your time there are some really nice fish to be had! especially this time of year BEFORE all hell breaks loose with the summer crowd! they like the old jitterbug at lilli!!!!!!! and that bone lure that you seem to do well with there !!!! keep me posted!!!
