After learning how to fish for shad today and successfully catching a few 4 pounders I kept a few and decided to chunk for momma bass in the CT river
Fished from 8pm till midnight. lots of catfish enjoyed the shad from 4lbs up to a chunky 11 pounder! but the first fish landed was a very nice 35 inch 16 pound linesider! I also had sandworms but the dink cats and eels were stealing them so I used the chunks instead.
