Heading up to derby for the first time this weekend just wondering if they r hitting topwater or if i should use some jigs or jerkbaits.

A lot of them are being caught on top water but you never know how it's going to be when you get there,...so just bring everything! Fwiw,...I've had a lot of luck with Daiwa SP minnows! I bend the points on the rear hook into the middle, because all that rear hook does is get stuck in their throats. Any striper worth catching will have the front hook in its mouth when it bites!! :wink:
