Beat the Housy skunk

Out on O'Sullivan's Island at dawn this morning. Beautiful morning. The fish must have taken the opportunity to sleep in. After 90 minutes and not a nibble I decided to try the dam. Saw some topwater action at the dam and on my second cast with the ol' reliable yellow pencil popper managed to land a 31 incher for dinner. On my next cast had a nice bass chasing my pencil popper up to about four feet from shore. He took one last swipe, hooked on for a second and spit the lure. The action died down completely after that and I left after an hour or so. Filleted the fish and managed to get in to work by 11:00.
