Hit the Reef again Thursday. Site member gkolyagin (Genna) and I got there just after 8pm and worked the outgoing. Genna's setup was a 9' MH Tica Penn SSV4500. Mine was a 7'6" ML Temple Fork Outfitters G. Loomis Signature Series Penn Sargus 4000. Lures Genna stuck with were pencil poppers, SP Minnow, Sluggos, and bucktails. I threw FLR-10, MXR-13, and SSP-9. We fished til about 11pm. Genna had 1 hit on his SP Minnow by what he said seemed to be a curious striper. I had 1 explosion on the SSP-9 and lost a nice striper with the FLR-10. I set the hook twice when I got the hit but the fish hardly moved before it spit the hook.
