FINALLY 5/18 & 5/19 Keepers

5/18- My dad and his buddy went out to the mouth of the river from 6am to 11am hoping for the first keeper of the year but noone was catching anything down there not even schoolies all morning after all the reports of the mouth being loaded with blues and stripers all week. Until a 20" fluke hit a sandworm on the bottom. Theres his first keeper of the year! 5/19- My dad and I went out again launching out of the haddam meadows and fished just north of the meadows from 630am to around 11am. Landed over a dozen schoolies once again (him catching all off those) until around 10 I landed a 32" striper ill take that as my only fish for the day! Shortly after that my dad landed a nice catfish. While we were out my dads buddies landed to nice keepers next to us a 31" and 36". Once i figure out how to post pictures i will.
