Messerschmidt and Wrights in the Rain
Message:
Went out for a few hours Sunday afternoon around 2pm despite the rain. First stop was the south end of Wrights pond by the dam. Brought the Senkos, spinnerbaits and a few light jigs. It was overcast, the rain was on and off to start and the air temperature was around 57 degrees. No real signs of activity on the water but my brother managed to land a small pickerel that was hiding out in the weeds. Got a few hits as the rain started to pick up but no takers so we moved over to the west side of Messerschmidt. Tried several different spots and I had some luck this time with a largemouth on the edge of a weed bank. Finished up the outing on the east side of the pond by the dam. Some surface activity was showing but as the rain intensified the bite slowed. All fish for the day were caught on darker colored artificial baits. Brian
