Weird Catches

I was fishing the CT river in Cromwell yesterday with out any luck but I got to thinking about some weird catches in the river.
About 6-7 years ago I was fishing a crank bait in the channel in Cromwell and hooked up to a legal size blue crab! One crab wasn't gonna make a meal so I let it go but it was definetly one of the oddest catches i've ever gotten.
If anyone else out there has anything weird to report either in the CT River or Thames/Housy post em up!

wow that is interesting. I wonder if they come far up the river near Hartford. Cool story!

I was fishing off the DEEP dock and hooked a pretty large sea turtle! It didn't even hurt it, just snagged its shell and somehow it never slipped off while I pulled it in. I've caught a few blue crabs over the years and plenty of those nasty spider crabs.
