Lower Bolton/Freja Park MAY 26
Message:
Got to lower Bolton around 6 PM and that wind was blowing! Tried tossing the ultralight gear and it was ALMOST impossible..... I did manage to hook a baby bass, about 5 feet from shore, on a rapala jointed
Went to the car and got out a medium rig. Began tossing out a clackin' minnow after my buddy assured me that it was too big of a bait to be throwing here. A few minutes later a 14 inch Slime Dart hit it ( also 5 feet from shore )
I walked farther down, caught 1 more small bass and called it quits - wind was really strong and it was splashing the waves up and over the rocky shore to my knees.
Hopped into the car and fished Freja Park till dark, top water micro-frog on an ultralight rig. Had a helluva fight pulling in another Slime Dart, only to have it shake free a few feet from shore.... fine by me, my least liked fish.
Sun was going down, a few more casts got me hooked up with the last Slime Dart.... this one broke my line clean and swam away with my micro frog in its face. Only got to cast that frog 11 times before I lost it, I gotta get another one!
