Reef 5/27

Member gkolyagin (aka Genna) and I hit the Reef Memorial Day morning. Low tide for Black Rock Harbor was scheduled for 7:45am. We got there around 4:30am. We worked our way all the way out to the cows without any luck. Genna tried throwing a few pencil poppers, SP Minnow, Bomber Long A, and 9" Sluggo. I played with flake purple ghost Max Rap MXR-15, chrome purple black MXR-15, pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-16, and mullet Saltwater Skitter Pop SSP-12. I had a striper come up for the FLR-16 when I went to take it out of the water. Got a bluefish hit on the same lure. Genna didn't have any luck with a Lloyd's pencil popper and no bites taken out of Sluggo's. Only thing we saw as for fish on was a fly fisherman who said he caught a sea robin. No birds working any bait and no signs of bait. Headed back in around 8am.
