Gardner Lake Salem Ct. 5/30/13
Message:
Got out of work and got on the lake at 4pm. Headed to the west end of the lake from boat launch of rt 354. Started throwing my go to soft plastic and on the 3rd cast hooked a largemouth around 2lbs. seems the fish were on the edge of the flats where it drops off to deeper water. 10 t0 14 ft. Continued the drift along the west side and landed a few more bass in the same weight range. Spotted an Eagle in a tree and enjoyed a few moments watching him until he flew away. Fished the north cove area and landed a nice 5 pound bass. Ended the day before T STORMS moved in and headed back to the launch. Great time and looking forward to heading back soon.

I grew up across the street from the eagle nesting area in suffield and man seeing those apex predators cruising around with that giant wingspan parallels a giant hook set...almost :)

I was there the day before, and they were killing the frog on the edge of the weed beds. Missed the 5lb fish, but knew you were coming :P
