After a long evening nap Tuesday I stayed up overnight and decided to kill some time Wednesday morning by heading down to the sandbar before doing freshwater fishing later. Low tide was scheduled for 8:26am and arrived just after 7:30am. Setup was an 8 footer. Threw some bigger plugs and a few soft plastics for about an hour with no luck. Never saw any signs of bunker. From there I headed over to see what the bunker were like on the Pequonnock by Bushwick Metals. Tried throwing 2 plugs out there and also tried snagging but never felt anything. Saw 3 fishermen farther up snagging as if they were into a school. Saw one land a blue. Headed up that way to find that the bunker had gone deeper by that time.
