This past weekend was a major speeding and boating while intoxicated crackdown by DEEP, Coast Guard, state and local law enforcement. This week, especially the 4th, they will have officers at most of the launches for safety inspections, and issuing $75 fines for each missing item. Run through your safety gear! if there out and about make a good check of the boat for weeds and invasive species. The ticket for that can be large, and its just a good practice.
