After spooling 150 yards of Power Pro 10 pound braid onto a Fierce 2000 attached to 6 pound mono, I decided to test it by heading down to Remington and see if there were any taylors. Arrived around 6:45pm and high tide for Bridgeport was scheduled for 10:23pm. Setup was an Okuma SST Salmon Spin 7'6" medium power and the Fierce 2000 with the braid. Lures I played with included shad Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, glass ghost Clackin Minnow CNM-11, flake purple ghost Max Rap MXR-11, silver shad Jointed Shallow Shad Rap JSSR-7, pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-10, flake blue Max Rap MXR-13, chrome Skitter Pop SP-9, blue sardine Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, and moss back shiner Clackin Minnow CNM-9. Fished til aprox 9:15pm. Had 2 fluke hits on the MXR-13 and a hard aggressive hit that felt like a striper on the JSSR-7. Was very impressed with how smoothly the braid casted and showing no signs of memory. Also loved how sensitive the line is for feeling the fish. Didn't see much difference in casting distance with my usual Rapalas but still got some extra distance.
