Bunnells Pond 7/11

Thursday afternoon I looked at the radar and saw nothing coming so I decided to spend the evening at Bunnells Pond. Got there around 5:30pm.
Hit the usual spots this time of year. Lost a largemouth with a silver shad Jointed Shallow Shad Rap JSSR-7. Had panfish interested in a helsinki shad Husky Jerk HJ-6. Lost a crappie and caught 3 bluegills. Tried throwing a number of other plugs and crankbaits and also topwater but no luck.
Around 7:45pm I saw signs of heavy rain in the distance. Once it was time, I decided to head over to Glenwood Park to be safe so I could be right near Duchess in order to take cover.

That is why they call it fishin, not catchin, is what my father always used to say, RIP. Keep fishin my man! Some day if you drive you can meet me at Candlewood and we'll catch some fish.
