I know that not everyone is into handing out info. But I was supposed to go with a friend of mine tomorrow night but he can't make it so I'm looking for a general idea of places to fish. Anything close enough to shore?

I'm in Waterbury. I don't mind driving though. Need some fish bad. I fished the naugy river a few times and other people caught them but I'm not sure if the fish are there anymore. I'm coming from competitive largemouth fishing so saltwater is new to me.
