Went back to the Farmington to keep out of the heat.
I had tons of action on the fly from little fish.
I ended up with over a dozen fallfish,4 Sunnys,5 smallies,1 Rock Bass and the 2 BIGGEST fish of the day were this 10 inch Bow[img:71fd88df07]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=21117[/img:71fd88df07]
And this 12 inch Brownie.[img:71fd88df07]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=21119[/img:71fd88df07]
Kept cool and passed the time.

Sounds like a blast!!!! what types of flies were you using? I was thinking about hitting the housatonic up in kent or cornwall bridge, what flies do you recomment using for a good chance at a wide variety of fish like you caught on the farmy?

At the Farmi i was "nymphing."
At the Housy i would start with a nymph or wooly bugger..
I would also use a Crawfish or Hellgramite pattern if i target the the "Bronze backs."
Small clousers and streamers if you want to mimic bait fish. The fish there seem to favor black, yellow and white. A Black Ghost is a pattern i use and tied a few clouser versions.
As for dry flies i'd say dragon flies, damsel flies or whatever else you see flying.
Size 10-6 Pheasant tail nymph with a gold bead is my go-to fly and has caught me fish in every body of water that i've used it. All the others above plus others have produced very well there (when i loose or reluctantly change my nymph)
Don't forget to report about your day!
Have a blast with those smallies.
