Broken Pflueger President reel

Ok, somehow someway reel broke on me at the base of it

I have no idea how it happened, last time I used it, it worked perfectly. Left it in my vehicle and went back to use and found it unattached from rod and broken.
Anyone seen something like his before. It was one of my better reels. I actually had a baitcaster break a day or two before, it has not been a good week for fishing gear :(

Send it back to Pflueger. Hopefully, they would warranty that.
